reflecting on the day's plans, 3 hours later he would be in the hospitalIt has been a long 8 weeks....Mark's back is healing and with God's grace, he will be better in a couple of weeks. His injury has brought us all closer, which is something we could not have imagined when it first happened.
The strength and encouragement we have found has been amazing. Mark does not take the little things for granted (like getting up in the middle of the night) and has learned to rely on the rest of us. I have had to put my needs aside (most of the time!) to help him.
The kids had a little trouble at first, but adjusted and have been cooperative. Trey even learned to do many of the household/outside chores that Mark usually does himself.
Life throws you curve balls, always look for the lesson to be learned.
